Blessing or Curse = You Can Choose

CURSES

  1. A curse is an invisible spiritual barrier upon our lives. This stops us from living in fullness of God’s blessings in our lives.

  1. First of all, we must know this…

Proverbs 26: 2

“Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow, an undeserved curse does not come to rest”.

So, if anyone curses you, but you have not broken any boundaries of God in your life, then the curses can not rest upon you. You speak a blessing upon the person who has cursed you or offended you and forgive them and release them….so you also will be released from the curse.

  1. Curses can come upon a person because of the following:-

    1. False Gods – Exodus 20:1-5
-          The power branch of the occult – invoking supernatural evil powers like acupuncture, astral projection, hypnosis, martial arts, mind dynamics, witchcraft (rebellion), freemason etc.

-          The branch of the occult operating through physical objects – Amulets, birthstones, charms, heavy metal records and cassettes, lucky symbols pagan fetishes, religious artefacts zodiac charms etc.

Authority has the ability and freedom to bless or curse.

Jacob and Rachel….Genesis 31:32….Jacob unknowingly pronounces a curse over Rachel as her head. and Rachel died at child birth, Genesis 35:16-19

YOU ARE NOW READY TO PRAY THE PRAYER FOR RELEASE FROM ANY CURSE

  1. PRAYER OF RELEASE

Lord Jesus Christ, I believe that you are the Son of God and the only way to God; and that You died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. I give up all my rebellion and all my sin, and I submit myself to you as my Lord and Saviour. I confess all my sins before you and ask for Your forgiveness…especially for any sins that exposed me to a curse. Release me also from the consequences of my ancestor’s sins. By a decision of my will, I forgive all who have harmed me or wronged me…just as I want God to forgive me. In particular, I forgive…..

I renounce all contact with anything occult or satanic, if I have any contact objects, I commit myself to destroy them. I cancel all Satan’s claims against me.

Lord Jesus, I believe that on the cross you took on yourself every curse that could ever come upon me. So I ask you now to release me from every curse over my life…In Your Name, Lord Jesus Christ.

By faith now I receive my release and I thank You for it.

THE POWER OF THE BLOOD

“Father, I thank you for the precious blood of Jesus Christ as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. I thank you that the blood pleads for me mercy and all the provisions of your grace. I thank you that the blood gives me access into your holy presence and has purchased for me complete salvation.

I declare, affirm and bear witness to what the Word of God says the blood has done for me. I am justified and forgiven by the blood of Jesus. The blood cleanses me from every sin and removes God’s wrath from me. I am sanctified, wholly set apart through the offering of the body of Christ once for all. I have been purchased for God’s eternal possession by the blood of Jesus.

The blood has redeemed me from the guilt and power of sin and I am set free from the empty way of life handed down to me from my forefathers. The blood of Christ purges my conscience and sets me free from the dead works of religion in order that I may serve the living God. The blood redeems me from the curse of the law and releases the blessings of God in my life.

The blood is God’s covenant seal upon me. I am secure and made safe from all evil and every guile of the enemy by the blood of Jesus. I am victorious over Satan who is defeated, destroyed, driven out and disarmed by the power of His blood. By the blood I overcome the evil one and destroy his every work. The blood is my assurance of God’s goodness and the binding guarantee of His faithfulness in all situations. The blood is my legal claim to every promise and the entrance into my inheritance in Christ Jesus.”
